"In 2023, our wonderful son Kit was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a severe and progressive condition that primarily affects boys.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy causes muscle degeneration and weakness, leading to a loss of mobility by the early teens. Eventually, it affects the respiratory and cardiac muscles, resulting in a significantly shortened life expectancy.
Currently, there is no cure for Duchenne. However, we are dedicated to supporting those with Duchenne in Dorset by providing the essential resources and technology they need to maintain their independence. Our mission is to raise vital funds and awareness, ensuring that those like Kit can live fulfilling lives with dignity and joy. Together, we can make a difference.
Join us in our journey to bring hope and assistance to those affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy."
